Amused by muses

As a creative person, one of the toughest things to deal with is the mundane when the muses come. Inspiration when it hits you have to catch it. Today I was visited a couple of times, which in itself is rare. Right when I was getting into a groove recording, real life intervened and I had to go do some family stuff. Needless to say, when I got back to my studio, the feeling wasn't really there as before. I started getting into another groove and this time technical glitches intervened. Digital distortion which I had no idea where it was coming from. Fiddled around changing cables, trying out new things, but it was too late. Couldn't work anymore. When you try to work from home and you have small children, it can be difficult.
Over the years I've had to stop doing whatever I was doing creative wise to handle things at home, or work, or whatever. Sometimes I wonder what happens to all those ideas that never came to fruition.
And sometimes I'm scared that the muses will stop visiting because when they come I ignore them.
